[...] Brawl Tournament! Tomorrow (Saturday)! Are you pumped? We’ll begin preparation at 12:00 noon, so if you’re planning on providing a Wii set-up, helping to get things ready, or looking for some friendly matches, appear then-abouts and we’ll accommodate as best we can. And if you’d like to volunteer full- or close to full-time in the tournament, we’re doing a pre-tourney meeting Friday (Today) at 4:00pm in the Lobo Lair (located in the SUB), and briefing will take place then and there.
King Lerke: For the first game of each match, character selection is double blind, so you won't know your opponent's character and he won't know yours. But for the next games in that match, the loser will be able to choose his character after the winner; it's their prerogative if they'd like to pick the same guy.

And yes, the maps listed above are all that will be played on. See you Saturday!

Hey so the character selection, is it going to allowed for both players to be the same character? Also the maps listed above are all that will be used in the tournament right?

As of yet, I haven't seen anybody get out of the bowser klaw... And besides, it coincides with what would have happened had they both been at one life left and did that with time to spare- opponent would have died first and Bowser would have won. And you know I've gotten out of kirby's grasp many a time.

Book: This link tells you the logic behind it.

Basically, a character grabbed by Bowser can directional influence his way out of certain death if he's at a lower percentage. So a death by suicide klaw connotes that the Bowser had the lower percentage of damage and is thus the winner?

I'm not 100% sure either, but it's the official Smash Boards stance, and I feel I can appeal to their authority, at least in this case.

Mael: I'm just wondering about the "Ignore sudden death" bit. The suicide klaw is just as much bullshit as Kirby's kills. If the game decides to do it more fairly, why both mess with it?

No, there's no age limit. You simply have to be old enough to be able to play the game on your own.

And there's no such thing as too old for video games either! =D
